The $100,000 check was presented today as part of the church's final act before closing its doors.

RICHLAND, Wash. – Northwest United Protestant Church is closing its doors but leaving a significant legacy for Jefferson Elementary School students.

A $100,000 endowment has been established to support students' essential needs, administered by 3 Rivers Community Foundation (3RCF), according to a release.
