Oregon State football is making an in-season addition in the transfer portal, shoring up a depleted defensive backfield.

Former Florida State safety Conrad Hussey was added to the Beavers’ roster on Monday. Hussey, a junior, was dismissed by the Seminoles last month after reportedly getting into a physical altercation with a position coach.

Hussey was originally a four-star recruit out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Florida, rated the No. 11 safety prospect in the country. He played two seasons and 24 total games for Florida State, recording 40 tackles, three pass deflections, one interception, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries.

The alleged incident which led to his dismissal from the Seminoles occurred during the team’s second preseason scrimmage, according to reports
