CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WTRF) — A West Virginia lawmaker is proposing legislation to honor conservative activist Charlie Kirk with a statewide Day of Remembrance.
Delegate Anders said Monday he has requested a bill designating Oct. 14, Kirk’s birthday, as an annual day to recognize his legacy.
“Charlie’s impact on our nation cannot be overstated,” Anders said. “He inspired millions of young Americans to defend liberty, speak truth without fear, and live boldly in their faith.”
Anders said choosing Kirk’s birthday would give West Virginians a chance each year to reflect on what he described as the activist’s “vision and lasting contribution to freedom.”
