Two Missouri Senate Republicans voted against a President Trump-backed plan to reshape the state’s Congressional districts – Mike Moon and Lincoln Hough. Minutes after the Senate dropped the gavel on Friday to end the special session, Hough found out he was removed as chairman of the state Senate Appropriations Committee – a lawmaking committee that holds tremendous power over Missouri’s purse strings.

Hough, R-Springfield, held the position for three years. Prior to that, he served as the vice chairman of the committee.
