LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - WKYT is learning more information in the case against Laken Snelling , the former University of Kentucky student who is charged in connection with the death of her baby.

According to the Lexington Herald-Leader , the person who called police told dispatchers the baby was “cold to the touch.”

The baby was found at the end of August.

On September 5, Snelling pleaded not guilty to concealing the birth of an infant, tampering with physical evidence and abuse of a corpse.

The coroner’s office confirmed the baby was a boy ; however, more testing needs to be done to determine the cause of death and gestational age.

Snelling is due back in court on September 26.
