AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Amarillo Independent School District announced that a 4th grade student at Windsor Elementary was selected for the 2025 National Math Stars cohort.

John Cantu, a 4th grade student, will be getting support valued at over $100,000 over the next 10 years. He was selected as a 2025 National Math Stars cohort which identifies students with extraordinary math abilities.

The program aims to support and develop a students mathematical talents.
