AUGUSTA, Maine (WABI) - Authorities are asking locals to avoid an area in Augusta as they work on a structure fire.

According to Augusta Police, they’ve placed a traffic alert for locals coming through the Mount Vernon Avenue Area.

Police said it appears everyone is out of the residence being worked on.

There’s no idea on the extent of the fire.
