PROVO, Utah (ABC4 Sports) - It seems every year, BYU head coach Kalani Sitake's name is mentioned when it comes to coaching rumors.
This year, those rumors have come early.
After UCLA fired DeShawn Foster on Sunday, ESPN mentioned Sitake as a possible replacement. But Sitake doesn't think the rumors will be a distraction to his team headed into this week's game at East Carolina.
"I don't talk about anything other than football and what we're doing right now as a program," Sitake said Monday. "I think people have heard me make statements [about this] before. I would say, listen, these guys need me to be focused on East Carolina more than anything else. I've told them to avoid any distractions that come along the way. So we're going to avoid distractions and stay humble, keep working hard
