Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is slated to miss quite some time of the 2025 NFL season after needing surgery for a turf toe injury he sustained during Sunday’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

After being sacked by Arik Armstead in the second quarter, Burrow remained down on the turf and appeared to be grabbing near his ankle. In that same quarter, Burrow left Sunday’s 31-27 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars and was later seen in a walking boot.

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Burrow could miss at least three months of action due to the injury.

The Bengals initially deemed Burrow as questionable to return due to a toe injury, but it was clear that his injury was much worse as they got mor e imaging of it.

Now, social media thinks they know why Joe Burrow hurt himself.
