PUEBLO, Colo. (KKTV) - As the investigation continues into the former coroner’s funeral home, Pueblo county commissioners said they have interviewed five candidates to be his replacement.

The former coroner, Brian Cotter, resigned after nearly two dozen decomposing bodies were found in his funeral home, Davis Mortuary. That building is now boarded up, and so far, no arrests have been made.

In the meantime, the Fremont county coroner has been taking over as the search for a replacement commences.

The Pueblo county commissioners said they have narrowed it down to five people, saying Monday they have been interviewed.
