The largest increase came from the oldest demographic (65+ years old) according to the Wollongong City Council's Economic Insights Report.
Spending in the Wollongong CBD reached $973.5 million, an increase of 0.9 per cent from the 2024 financial year, while across the LGA, the total spending was $3.61 billion, with average monthly spending at approximately $301 million.
