Predator, Superman, Deadpool, Groot and Boba Fett were just a few of the cosplay characters out and about at the second annual Magic Valley Comic-Con over the weekend.
“The great thing about comic conventions is you’re with your people,” Erin Atwood, a member of the Star Wars costume club 501st Legion, said.
Dozens of actors, voice actors, comic book artists and celebrities descended on the Twin Falls County Fairgrounds in Filer on Saturday and Sunday.
For Twin Falls residents Jeanette Slane and Justina Black, meeting the cast of the 1995 comedy cult classic “Mallrats” was the highlight. The pair dressed up as the comedic Jay and Silent Bob, from several movies directed by Kevin Smith.
“I grew up watching Mallrats, so this was a bucket list experience here in Twin Falls,” Slane said.
