Community members of all ages celebrated the the College of Southern Idaho’s 60th birthday on Saturday at Eagle Fest.
Kids had plenty of activities, like bounce houses and a scavenger hunt, while adults learned about the many courses available at the community college.
“We are a hub in so many ways,” CSI Board Chair Anna Scholes said.
Magic Valley residents decided to tax themselves 60 years ago to create CSI and continue to support the college today, Scholes said.
Buildings were open to the public, including the Applied Technology Innovations Center, where 3D printers cranked out little fish toys and machining students created personalized, engraved name tags.
“It’s great to show kids something with their name on it,” machining instructor Jim Kellis said. “Back in the day, when every
