FORT BRAGG — The 1st Special Forces Command at Fort Bragg changed leaders in late August, the command announced.

Outgoing commander Maj. Gen. Lawrence “Gil” Ferguson handed over the command to Brig. Gen. Joseph W. Wortham II during an Aug. 28 ceremony.

Ferguson’s next assignment has not been publicly announced, a spokesman for the 1st Special Forces Command said Sept. 12.
