(PINPOINT WEATHER) -- We’re more dry than wet on this Tuesday morning, as showers have been limited to the far eastern portions of the state. Temperatures are cool and refreshing, as low 60s and mid- to upper 50s kick off the day.

Winds are light out of the north to start but will pick up Tuesday afternoon as gusts look to reach as fast as 20 miles per hour at times. Temperatures take a dip Tuesday, with highs limited to the mid- to upper 70s through the peak heating hours of the day.

The area of low pressure over the Outer Banks will track north on Tuesday which will pull most of the moisture towards the northeast. Tuesday night, lows will dip back into the low 60s and upper 50s as skies stay partly cloudy heading into Wednesday.
