ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —
Many New Mexicans woke up to loud phone alerts overnight—two separate Silver Alerts were issued for missing elderly men in the Albuquerque metro area.
The first alert was sent around 11 p.m. Monday for 75-year-old James Johnson. According to Albuquerque police, he was last seen around 3 p.m. near San Antonio Drive and Louisiana Boulevard.
Johnson was wearing a multi-colored polo shirt, black pants, a Nike hat and slippers at the time of his disappearance.
Just over two hours later, a second alert was issued — this time by Rio Rancho Police — for 73-year-old Ernest Montoya. He was last seen Tuesday afternoon near 35th Street in Rio Rancho.
Montoya was reportedly wearing a purple shirt, blue jeans and either white or black shoes. He may also be riding a silver and bl
