Molly Qerim has been a staple on ESPN's First Take for years, as the host who moderates and debates daily with the big personalities around her.
And now, she's leaving.
With reports swirling late on Monday night that Qerim -- who used to be married to Jalen Rose -- was leaving the show and the network, she confirmed it in an Instagram Story that dropped early Tuesday morning.
"After much reflection, I’ve decided it’s time to close this incredible chapter and step away from First Take,” Qerim wrote. “Hosting this show has been one of the greatest honors of my career. Every morning, I had the privilege of sharing the desk with some of the most brilliant, passionate, and entertaining voices in sports — and with all of you, the best fans in the world."
She added she was "grateful" and to "stay tuned."
So what's next for her and the show? All good questions. She didn't exactly say why, but maybe another opportunity popped up.
When is Molly Qerim leaving First Take?
Sports Business Journal reported that she'll be leaving at the end of the year, and that "ESPN offered Qerim a contract, but she chose to move on."
Who will host First Take after Molly Qerim leaves?
Good question. Names like Courtney Cronin have stepped in to guest-host when Qerim has been absent, but it might be a while until we hear who could be in.
