What COVID trends are we seeing in Oklahoma?

“Right now in Oklahoma, COVID is the predominant respiratory virus that's spreading around the state. When you compare it to RSV or influenza, right now about 11% of the people who get a test done for COVID are coming back positive,” said Dr. Dale Bratzler, Dean of Hudson College of Public Health.

“We're seeing kind of a late summer surge in the number of cases,” said Dr. Bratzler.

“Hospitalizations are up a bit in Oklahoma, and the CDC has reported that about 185 people are dying each week right now from COVID-19 nationwide,” said Dr. Bratzler.
