In our local excellent Jesuit institutions, including De Smet Jesuit High School and St. Louis University High, we are taught to be “Men for Others.” We are dictated to help our fellow humans in their life paths for the greater glory of God. We are given an excellent education to prepare us for college, including often post-collegiate work — such as lawyers and politicians like U.S. Sen. Eric Schmitt — so that we can help improve the human experience for all.
Sen. Schmitt, Missouri's Republican junior senator and a De Smet graduate, must not have been paying attention.
