NEW JERSEY (PIX11) – Some residents in New Jersey can receive tax benefits up to $1,750 through the ANCHOR program, according to the state’s Division of Taxation.
The state said it filed for benefits on behalf of most eligible homeowners and renters under the age of 65 who don’t receive Social Security disability benefits on Monday. They would’ve received an ANCHOR benefit confirmation letter in the mail in August.
Residents older than 65 years old who are on Social Security can still get the tax benefit, but will have to apply by clicking here. Homeowners and renters who didn’t get a letter in the mail can also apply for the ANCHOR program.
