A Cambridgeshire pub that was closed for five years has reopened to the public. The Dragoon Inn in Brampton reopened on Tuesday, September 9, after new owners Vijay Sharma and Dr. Sravya took it over.

The pub closed in July 2020. In a soft opening on September 9, the pub welcomed around 200 people.

Co-owner Vijay said: “It’s been really good and better than we expected. People were so keen to come in, including people who used to come here.”

Vijay and Dr Sravya bought the pub after seeing it closed for a “long time”, said Vijay. He added: “We were looking for something different in business.”
