The investigation comes after Florida Education Commissioner Anastasios Kamoutsas sent a letter to school districts warning teachers about posting "despicable comments" about Kirk's murder.

A spokesperson for the Osceola County School District would only say that the teachers are on alternative assignments pending the outcome of the investigation.

Meanwhile, the State Department of Education said the commissioner intends to investigate every educator who posts about Kirk's murder.
