The Heritage Timberwolves are 2-0.

And that fact isn’t anything new for the Timberwolves.

This season marks the eighth time Heritage has opened with back-to-back wins since 2014.

But back-to-back wins in running-clock games?

“There’s that, and I’ll double-check the records, but I don’t know if we’ve had back-to-back shutout wins either,” head coach Kevin Peterson.

A check of the records shows that Heritage has never posted back-to-back shutout wins until the Timberwolves beat Hudson’s Bay 47-0 on Friday . That followed a Week 1 59-0 win over Fort Vancouver.

It’s a far cry from Peterson’s first season as head coach when the Timberwolves went 0-9 that included four consecutive running-clock shutout losses.
