AMAZON has announced a special event where we could see new Fire TV devices and Alexa-enabled speakers.

The online shopping and tech giant sent out invites to a mystery event set to take place at the end of the month - and it offers some clues about what might be in store.

A teaser image shows a blue glowing ring that looks a lot like the one seen on Amazon Echo , the firm's flagship speaker range.

New Echos are likely after Amazon's recent Alexa upgrade that infuses AI into the digital assistant's responses .

But of course Amazon has a load of other big name tech under its belt.

That includes Fire TV, which seems to make an appearance in the promotion's bottom left corner.

And on the bottom right there's a strong hint of something new in the Kindle e-reader line-up.
