NORTH HILLS – Police are investigating the death of a 26-year-old woman who was found shot to death at an apartment complex in North Hills late Monday night.

Los Angeles Police Department officers from the department’s Mission Division were called at 10:30 p.m. to the apartment complex in the 9000 block of Orion Avenue between Nordoff and Rayen streets regarding a shots fired call.

When they arrived at the scene, officers found the woman suffering from gunshot wounds, according to an LAPD spokesman.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.

There was no suspect description.
