Full list of River Island stores closures as chain shutting 35 in coming months

River Island is set to close down another location in the coming days, the first of a previously confirmed 35 stores set to shut their doors.

Last month, the chain received court approval for the major restructuring from a high court judge.

The decision for the high street fashion chain’s restructuring plan was announced in August, amid fears that the company could collapse into administration without the overhaul.

As reported by the BBC , River Island has come under increasing financial pressure in recent years, with its most recent accounts revealing a £33.2m full-year loss after sales dropped by 19 per cent.

River Island previously said 33 stores would be closing in January, and has since added its store in Southside shopping centre in Wandsworth, London, to the closures scheduled
