MORGAN COUNTY, Ala. ( WAFF ) - A West Morgan football player who was injured during Friday’s game against Priceville has been able to walk again on his own, the team said on Monday.

Cole Thorn suffered bleeding on the brain following a play during Friday’s game and underwent emergency surgery that night.

Cole’s mother, Lindsey Thorn, is the West Morgan cheer coach and was at the game when her son collapsed.

At first, she stood back thinking it was all going to be okay before the athletic trainers called her over.

“Something different happened, and I saw something that was not my boy,” said Lindsey Thorn.

Cole had suffered from a Brain bleed and had a seizure. Luckily, once transported to Huntsville Hospital, doctors were able to perform a bone flap surgery and stop the bleeding. H
