After the first half of September saw Kent contend with persistent rain and blustery winds , forecasters have given an update on the picture for the rest of the month and it seems the unsettled weather is here to stay.
A yellow weather warning for wind had been in place over much of England, including all of Kent, from Sunday night (September 14) until yesterday evening as gales in excess of 50mph battered parts of the county.
Breezy conditions have persisted across much of the county today (September 16), accompanied by outbreaks of sunshine and patchy clouds.
Looking towards the evening, the Met Office anticipates initial clear spells falling to clouds that will build from the west and likely result in outbreaks of rain by the early hours of Wednesday morning.
