CONWAY, SC (WMBF/AP) - Coastal Carolina University is investigating reports of staff members posting about the assassination of a conservative activist that shocked the country.

CCU said it has received reports about staff posting about Charlie Kirk and will address any personnel matters in accordance with university policies.

“Personal beliefs and opinions shared on individual social media accounts are not a reflection of, nor do they represent, the views of the University,” CCU said in a statement to WMBF News.

Congressman Russell Fry is calling on the university to do something about one post reportedly made on a CCU staff member’s social media.
