KINGSTON, N.Y. — An 18-year-old man survived a stabbing Saturday evening on Liberty Street, police said Monday.

At about 6:10 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 13, city police responded to the area near 40 Liberty St. between Broadway and Prospect Street.

Officers found an 18-year-old male who had suffered a deep stab wound to his thigh, according to a press release.

“It is believed that there were two assailants who were possibly known to the victim. No motive has been established but police do not believe this was a random act and there is no domestic relationship involved,” police said.

The victim was treated at the scene and taken to HealthAlliance Hospital’s emergency department by Kingston Fire Department Ambulance. He was treated and released, police said.
