CLEMMONS, N.C. — Firefighters responded to a fire Tuesday morning at the Westwood Village shopping center in Clemmons.

Clemmons Fire Chief Gary Styers said crews were dispatched just before 10 a.m. to the shopping center off Lewisville-Clemmons Road. About 50 responders worked to contain the flames, which took roughly 50 minutes to bring under control.

The fire mainly affected the Deluxe Spa and Nails salon, the Laundry Land Coin Laundry and one other business in the complex. Styers said the businesses were shut down for the rest of the day and could be impacted for some time.
