On Monday, Prince Edward, the Duke of Kent, led royal mourners at a poignant private vigil to honor his wife, the Duchess of Kent, ahead of her Westminster Cathedral funeral.

Katharine Worsley, who was married to Prince Edward for 61 years, died Thursday, September 4. King Charles III and Queen Camilla quickly paid tribute to the Duchess upon the news of her death. The Duchess became the first royal to convert to Catholicism in more than 300 years, and is set to be honored in the first royal funeral at Westminster Cathedral since its construction in 1903.
