Georgia's Supreme Court declined to consider Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis ' appeal of her removal from the case she brought against President Donald Trump in 2023 related to Georgia election interference.

The court's decision cited an "appearance of impropriety" created by a romantic relationship the district attorney had with special prosecutor Nathan Wade. Willis hired Wade to lead the case. Previously, the Georgia Court of Appeals had ruled late last year that Willis' office could not continue to prosecute the 2020 election interference case.

This is a developing story and will be updated with additional information.
