Former Penn State quarterback Sean Clifford has been signed to the Cincinnati Bengals practice squad, according to ESPN insider Adam Schefter.
The news comes on the heels of Joe Burrow suffering a turf toe injury that will sideline him for at least three months.
Sean Clifford spent this preseason with the Green Bay Packers, before being cut just before the start of the regular season. He appeared in all three preseason games for Green Bay, completing 9 of 17 passes for 44 yards. He also rushed for a touchdown.
Clifford spent his first two NFL seasons with the Packers after being drafted by Green Bay in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
The Packers kept quarterbacks Jordan Love and Malik Willis and signed Clayton Tune to their practice as they cut Clifford.
