A large coastal system moving off North Carolina is expected to bring heavy rain, gusty winds, and high surf across the Mid‑Atlantic seaboard up through New Jersey over the next 24 to 36 hours. Flood and gale warnings have been issued as the system impacts a wide stretch of the East Coast.
