PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - A permit has been filed to potentially build a Wingstop in Putnam County.

The possible location could be at 105 Liberty Square Dr. in Hurricane.

Wingstop could replace the former Sports Fanz space in the Liberty Square Shopping Center if the permit is approved.

The permit was filed on July 21.

Pickens Lindsay, a business owner from Peachtree Restaurant Group, said they are under contract for the space in Liberty Square Shopping Center.

Lindsay said they hope to open the Wingstop by the end of this year.
