Nearly a week after the assassination of Charlie Kirk on a college campus in Utah, an outpouring of outrage by both champions and critics of the young conservative activist continues to dominate social media — and spark real-world confrontations in New Jersey.
In one case, the mayor of a Sussex County town is not only under fire from some residents, but also says he is being harassed at his private job by those angry that town flags were not lowered in Kirk's memory. Sparta Township employees have also been threatened, Mayor Neill Clark said in a statement released late on Sept. 15.
