HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Park Service (NPS) is seeking public input regarding the future of significant historical sites on Ford Island.

Pacific Historic Parks (PHP) and NPS have partnered to develop a master plan to manage the stewardship of six chief petty officer bungalows and the USS Oklahoma and USS Utah memorials on Ford Island.

Park officials are asking the public for guidance on how these sites should be managed.

An open house will be held Tuesday, Sept. 16, from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Pearl Harbor Memorial.

A virtual session is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 17 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., followed by a later session from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m.
