(NewsNation) — Fans of Hulk Hogan, Gene Hackman and other celebrities are upset that the late stars were omitted from in the In Memoriam at the “77th Primetime Emmy Awards.”

The In Memoriam segment honors figures, both in front and behind the scenes in the television industry, who have passed away in the last year.

Stars left out of the In Memoriam

World Wrestling Entertainment Hall of Famer Hulk Hogan was left out of the segment, despite being a fixture on TV for decades.

Not only did Hogan appear on WWE programming (when it was WWF), but he starred in the 1994 series “Thunder in Paradise.” He also ventured in the world of reality TV as the star of “Hogan Knows Best.”
