The San Francisco 49ers may have started their 2025 campaign with a 2-0 record, but they had to win the second contest with backup quarterback Mac Jones under center after their usual starter, Brock Purdy, suffered a toe injury during their Week 1 victory over the Seattle Seahawks.
While Jones looked more than serviceable in his 49ers debut, completing 66.7% of his passes for 279 yards and three touchdowns in the win over the New Orleans Saints, everyone is wondering when Purdy will return to take back his job.
