(NewsNation) — Toyota is recalling 591,000 vehicles nationwide — a move that could affect thousands of drivers in Wisconsin — due to a glitch in the infotainment system.
The recall, issued Friday by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, covers certain Venza, Crown, Crown Signia, RAV4, GR Corolla, 4Runner, Camry, Grand Highlander, Tacoma and Highlander models, as well as certain Lexus LS, RX and TX models.
According to Toyota, the 12.3-inch display screen may fail to turn on when drivers start their vehicles or could unexpectedly shut down while driving. Customers with affected vehicles will be notified by mid-November.
Owners can bring their vehicles to a dealer for a software update or replacement. Wisconsin Toyota and Lexus dealers will perform the updates at no charge t
