Another day, another headline in Pennsylvania lottery news .

This time, a lucky someone purchased a winning ticket in Schuylkill County .

According to a press release sent out on Tuesday via email by the Pennsylvania Lottery , someone bought a “top prize-winning ticket” at the Smokin’ Joe’s Tobacco Shop in Ashland Boro on Monday.

This ticket — a Money Power Progressive game, which is a $20 Fast Play game — ended up being worth $515,706. As such, the shop will receive a $5,000 for selling such a big winner.

“Prizes must be claimed, and tickets validated before winners can be identified,” the release reads. “Fast Play prizes must be claimed within one year of the ticket purchase date.

“All lottery prizes more than $5,000 are subject to applicable withholding.”
