CHARLES TOWN — Jefferson County citizens came together on Sept. 15 to organize and fight against proposed transmission lines coming to the area. Following an information session on Aug. 13 at Shepherd University, Potomac Edison filed a notice of intent to the Public Service Commission (PSC), informing them that they will file an application for the Gore-Doubs-Goose Creek (GDGC) project. Citizens quickly responded and are coming together to prevent the project. More than 25 people gathered at Corner Connection as they discussed next steps.
