A Mason City man was given a suspended 10-year prison sentence Monday in Cerro Gordo County District Court for a conviction of possession of cocaine with intent to deliver, a Class C felony.
Jose Ramon Cabezudo Garcia, 67, was put on probation for three years.
He was arrested March 13 following a search warrant in December on his vehicle and residence due to an investigation into his alleged cocaine delivery activity in Mason City, according to a criminal complaint filed by the Iowa Division of Narcotics Enforcement.
Three grams of cocaine were found, in addition to a small amount of cash, a digital scale and a handgun, the complaint states.
Garcia admitted to law enforcement that he was buying cocaine for $50 a gram and selling it for $70 a gram.
He pleaded guilty in July.
