MAYSVILLE, Ky. (FOX 56) — The search for two escapees has stretched into Kentucky from Ohio.

According to the Brown County Sheriff's Office in Ohio, Roy Butler and Jerry Cooper escaped from the Brown County Detention Center between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 15. The pair reportedly damaged a security window before fleeing through the sheriff's office impound lot.

Ohio authorities noted that Cooper was booked on charges including attempted murder, felonious assault, and having weapons under disability. Butler also faces a weapons under disability charge in addition to drug trafficking.

"If located, do not approach," the sheriff's office wrote.
