President Donald Trump has, for the fourth time, delayed a ban on TikTok , allowing the short-form video app to exist in the U.S. through nearly the end of 2025.

In an executive order signed on Tuesday, Sept. 16, Trump extended the deadline through Dec. 16, giving TikTok's Chinese parent company ByteDance until then to divest the platform.

In the past nine months, Trump has issued three executive orders pushing back the deadline, set by former President Joe Biden in April 2024 through the Protecting Americans from Foreign Adversary Controlled Applications Act.
