The company just announced a new security measure designed to help protect teens online. And while it sounds good in theory, we have some major concerns about the company’s approach.

In a blog post published today, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman opened up about the company’s focus on “protecting teens.” He explained, “We prioritize safety ahead of privacy and freedom for teens; this is a new and powerful technology, and we believe minors need significant protection.”
