Fremantle-based chef Leigh Nash co-founded Dingo Sauce Co. in 2016 because he couldn’t find a commercial chilli or Sriracha sauce he enjoyed that was free of preservatives.
Five years later, the Margaret River product was shipping thousands of his own bottles to viral YouTube show Hot Ones and drawing a new legion of fans.
“We sent some samples off to the company Heatonist, which curate all the hot sauces for the show Hot Ones. And pretty much within a week of them receiving the sauce, I got a phone call from the director of the group, and he just said, ‘Look, we can’t go past the Widowmaker’,” Nash told PerthNow.
