Pittsburgh police arrested one of three men suspected of robbing, beating and throwing a 41-year-old man into the Allegheny River, leading to his drowning death.
Stephen Williams was last seen on the Riverwalk near the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in the early morning hours of Sept. 6. His body was recovered from the Ohio River near the 700 Block of Casino Drive on the North Shore on Sept. 7.
Police on Monday charged Jose Soto, 25, who was being held in the Allegheny County Jail on unrelated charges, with homicide, robbery and conspiracy.
Police believe Soto was one of three men involved in the murder.
