WASHINGTON (KVOA) - The U.S. House of Representatives passed two bipartisan bills led by Congressman Juan Ciscomani to support Arizona veterans. These measures, aimed at improving resources and benefits for veterans, now move to the Senate for consideration.
According to a press release, the Veterans Readiness and Employment Program Integrity Act, seeks to enhance the VA's Veteran Readiness & Employment program by requiring oversight on employment outcomes and participant wait times. This is intended to improve accountability and program effectiveness.
The Rural Veterans Improved Access to Benefits Act of 2025, focuses on ensuring rural veterans have timely access to physician exams by permitting cross-state disability exams and expanding the pool of eligible providers. This aims to redu
